Pr Eng Civil Engineer – Water Directorate

SUMMARY

My client is looking to employ a Registered Civil Engineer with a passion for problem-solving and a knack for creative solutions. Successful candidates will get exposure to large multi-year infrastructure refurbishment and upgrading projects to a value above R1 billion rand.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform various duties typically associated with the fulfilment of a project engineer position i.e. mentoring and managing a planning and design team, during the project development stages
Proficiency in producing technically sound deliverables at each project stage, including Inception, Concept & Viability, and Design, is required. Development, Documentation and Procurement, Construction Administration and Close Out).
Managing each project by company Quality Management System
Water and Sanitation Master Planning Experience
Development and refurbishment of Bulk Water Supply lines (Transfer Systems), i.e. larger diameter pipeline and pump station planning and design.
New outfall sewer design and or pipe rehabilitation upgrade experience.
Groundwater Development and Rural Water Supply
Water conservation demand management projects.
A solid grasp of civil engineering construction contracts, including their management, is essential, particularly familiarity with GCC and FIDIC Red / Yellow Book standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Registered professional engineer (Pr Eng) at ECSA (BEng, or BSc, degree required)
Minimum 5 years’ post-registration experience in Water & Sanitation Infrastructure Development
