SUMMARY

Our client based in Sandton, Gauteng is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join their Credit Team. The Senior Data Analyst must have strong data analytics capabilities, pay attention to detail, deliver work of a high quality, process, manipulate, and transform large volumes of data), perform extensive analysis on data and produce summary results in a visual format to ultimately tell a story using data.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Measure and manage the performance across multiple credit products.
Evaluate and improve business decisions, substantiated by data-driven analyses.
Mentoring colleagues.
Create credit strategies.
Run and improve forecasting simulations.
Report back to management about the credit risk status of the business.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Mathematical/statistical background e.g. B.Sc. Mathematics / Statistics / Actuarial Science / B.Engineering.
5+ years in data analysis/modelling (not only using Excel, but other tools including SQL / SAS): need to work with millions of rows.
Skills & Experience:

Computer Languages: SAS (required) / SQL (required) / Advanced Excel (required) / Excel VBA (preferred) / Python (preferred) / R (preferred).
